Karmi Streets |
it may be the Bougainvillea clad homes, the small winding streets, the fragrance of the huge fig trees, the old church, the small village pub, the old village restaurants, the amazing views, the post office, the fresh water spring, the red phone box...

I think its probably the combination of all of these things. with its genuine authentic feel, the village feels like Cyprus has stood still for 40 years. The peace and quiet, the fact the village feels a million miles away form the rest f the world makes you want to take time out. Find a shade and make time for yourself in the summer heat.

The village is part of HM sovereign land, and so the connection for Brits is very apparent. i admire the fact that people have decided to move to the area from the bustling UK to the most tranquil part of the world.
If you do go to North Cyprus, and haven't been to Karmi, i recommend you do so. When you visit, you will really understand what i mean. Its only a couple of minutes drive from Kyrenia, so don't hold back and visit.
This just leaves me to ask, what's you favourite part of North Cyprus?
